We are a charitable organization founded in loving memory of Afaf Ahmed (23/11/2005 – 25/8/2024). Inspired by her kindness, resilience, and generosity, we are dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals, providing essential resources, and creating lasting positive change—locally, nationally, and globally.

The Foundation

United in kindness, committed to change

AFAF ABOVE THE WATER was established by Afaf’s mother, Dr. Hanan Abdelaziz, alongside her aunts—Miss Hala Abdelaziz and Miss Amel Abdelaziz—who were like second mothers to her.

This mission is supported by our invaluable family members, Afaf’s dedicated teachers from Pattison’s College and King Henry VIII School, and her beautiful friends and their families.

Together, we honor Afaf’s legacy of kindness, love, and giving.

Supplying necessities and constructing clean water resources, including digging wells to provide access to safe drinking water in underserved areas worldwide.

Assisting struggling families to cover essential needs, ensuring their children have access to education, healthcare, and a better future.

Working with governmental and non-governmental organizations to promote health education, raise awareness about healthy lifestyles, and ensure communities have access to essential healthcare knowledge.

Volunteering to support individuals through grief and loss, offering comfort and guidance during difficult times.

Providing companionship and assistance to elderly individuals, alleviating loneliness, and ensuring their daily needs are met.

Volunteering to assist patients in their homes, hospitals, and hospices, offering both practical and emotional support.

Working alongside Coventry City Council and other relevant authorities to maintain a clean, bright, and welcoming city for all.
